Today's Writing Prompt: Temper

When you "lose your temper" where is the best place to find it?

I'd like to think of myself as a cool, calm and collected person, but more often than not, I let bad stuff get the best of me. The mantra I practice is telling myself that I'm a better person than that, and reminding myself that I'm going to regret it the moment I say it.

Journaling #3

(urgh, I'm always late with these, and I couldn't access my account yesterday. Here goes Tuesday's prompt)

Today's Writing Prompt: Move

Write about a recent move you've made.
As a student who studies outside of her hometown, I rent a place. In the past five years I have changed a plethora of rooms, apartments and roommates. I never stayed anywhere long enough to make it feel like home.
Right now, I am moving back to my hometown for summer. I don't know where I'll be next semester. Maybe same place? All that moving resulted in me feeling like a stranger in my own hometown...

Today's Writing Prompt: Fall

Write about a time you fell.

This fall was not about being down-it was the getting up that I feared most. It seemed as if it was easier to stay on the ground than to stand up and face the damage. It's not easy to move on after a fall like that. Sure, bruises and scars fade, but the pain remains as a constant reminder of a moment of weakness or carelessness. I fell one too many times in my life--out of grace, out of love, out of routine, flat on my nose. When I told him not to come back, it was all in one, the ultimate fall.

Journaling #1

I've decided to participate in C. Beth's The One-Minute Writer journaling. The gist of it is to use one out of your 1,440 minutes a day to write about a daily writing prompt. I saw it at Michelle's blog The Story Inside Me and thought it was a nice idea which requires little time, but makes you write daily and practice your writing on various subjects.

Today's Writing Prompt: Beverage

What is your favorite beverage--and what does that say about you?

A cup of coffee is constantly somewhere near me. I need my day to last longer than 24 hours. Whether it's mocha or espresso, I'm not picky when it comes to coffee. Not having a coffee soon after I wake up gives me terrible headache for the rest of the day.  Better safe than sorry.
